STEWARDSHIP: Ice Lake Trail Ambassador

Scroll down for shift information.

SJMA is thrilled to continue placing volunteer trail ambassadors at the Ice Lake trailhead. As we know, Ice Lakes has incredibly high visitation in the summer months and has seen substantial impact to the landscape due to the crowds. Volunteers can spend time at the Ice Lake trailhead—talking with people as they arrive—and/or head onto the trail to chat with hikers and backpackers. Ice Lakes volunteers will kindly & effectively communicate Leave No Trace, safety, and responsible recreation information to visitors. As a volunteer, you can have a powerful impact on the way our National Forest visitors experience and enjoy this treasured place.

If you haven't attended an Ice Lake volunteer training, email volunteer@sjma.org to schedule a 1 on 1 training.
