Education: Homeschool Nature Volunteer

Support SJMA education staff with our new Homeschool Nature Programs for students K-5!

Each Thursday, from 8am - 4pm, our new homeschool group of 16 students K-5 and 2 SJMA staff will embark on exciting nature-based education programs at various public land locations in SW Colorado. As an SJMA volunteer, you'll help our education team cover fun topics like plant life, rock cycle, adventure skills, LNT, and more. Volunteers meet our team at the SJMA office (15 Burnett Ct) at 8am to carpool in our vans and return to the office by 3:30 or 4pm. 

This program is dynamic, fun, educational, and active. As a volunteer, you can take on a support role or you are welcome to jump in and lead activities on your own. Volunteer support helps with driving logistics, gives our students more 1:1 educational time, gives group facilitation support, and students have a chance to learn from more perspectives.
